Jordan is a certified occupational therapist at More Than Speech. She holds her certification to practice occupational therapy through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy and is licensed to practice occupational therapy in the state of Florida. Jordan graduated from Elmhurst University with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and exercise science, then received her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from North Central College.
Jordan has experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings including public school, Early Intervention/natural environments, hippotherapy, outpatient pediatrics, and community-based programs. She has also worked with older adults in the skilled nursing setting. In these settings, Jordan has worked with children with varying diagnoses including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing disorder, developmental delays, anxiety and ADHD, among others.
Jordan is committed to building positive relationships with her clients as well as facilitating improvements in independence and function in goal areas that are important to clients and their families. She strives to provide high quality, child-centered services by embracing each child’s strengths to assist them in building confidence and to promote success within their natural environments.
