Courtney is a speech-language pathology assistant at More Than Speech FL. She was awarded her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Florida. Courtney is currently enrolled in Nova Southeastern University where she is working toward her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.
Courtney has worked as a SLP-A within the private-practice and public-school setting, where she has worked with children ages 0-18. She has obtained experience working with a variety of populations including, Apraxia of Speech, Autism Spectrum Disorder, global developmental delays, Down Syndrome, articulation/phonological disorders, etc. Throughout her time at the University of Florida, Courtney gained invaluable volunteering experience shadowing/assisting speech-language pathologists in a variety of settings (in-patient/out-patient) at Shands Children’s Hospital and UF Health, which is ranked the fifth best children’s hospital in the United States. Additionally, during her time as an SLP-A in Seminole County Public Schools, Courtney gained experience with reading intervention, Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC), pragmatic language intervention, etc. Courtney is dedicated to providing individualized treatment for each client in order to improve the skills required for effective speech and communication.
