Alyssa is a co-owner of More Than Speech. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice speech pathology by holding a state license in Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, then went on to receive her Master of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida.

Alyssa has worked as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including pediatric-based private therapy clinics, inpatient rehabilitation, early intervention, and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She has received a range of specialty professional training in therapeutic approaches to best fit her client's needs as well as to train and support the clinicians at More Than Speech.

She has received specialty training in various feeding/swallowing intervention programs such as VitalStim® therapy and AEIOU Feeding Program. She is also a certified PROMPT© , The Play Project, and DIRFloortime® (Floortime) therapist. She has also completed the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 Clinical Training Workshop (ADOS-2). She utilizes her clinical experience, enthusiasm, and attentiveness to support families to reach their child’s full potential!
