Things That Just Make Sense at More Than Speech

At More Than Speech, creating an environment where kids can thrive, explore, and feel supported is at the heart of everything we do. While our focus is on speech therapy, feeding therapy, and occupational therapy, the tools we use in our clinic play a big role in helping children build confidence and reach their goals.

That’s why we’ve filled our space with equipment that “just makes sense” for pediatric therapy. Every swing, crash pad, and climbing wall isn’t just for fun; it’s carefully chosen to support development in meaningful ways.

Here are a few of our favorites:

Swings

Swings are more than a childhood favorite; they provide incredible therapeutic benefits. Swinging helps children regulate their sensory systems, improve balance, and strengthen their core. It’s also a calming activity that can prepare kids for focused work during therapy sessions.

Sensory Table

Our sensory table is a hands-on favorite. With textures, shapes, and activities that encourage tactile exploration, it supports fine motor skills, attention, and imaginative play. Sensory play is also a great tool for calming anxious feelings and building curiosity.

Crash Pad

Sometimes kids just need a safe place to jump, roll, or fall. Our crash pad provides exactly that, a soft landing that helps build body awareness, coordination, and confidence in movement. It also offers a safe outlet for energy while giving kids the input they need to feel grounded.

Trampolines

Bouncing on a trampoline is pure fun, but it’s also powerful therapy. It helps with balance, coordination, and muscle strength, while giving kids that important vestibular (movement) input their bodies crave. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to burn energy and refocus during therapy.

Rock Climbing Wall

Our rock climbing wall builds strength, coordination, and problem-solving skills all at once. Kids love the challenge of reaching the top, and it’s a wonderful way to boost confidence while working on motor planning and body control.

Why It Matters

At More Than Speech, we believe therapy should never feel intimidating. By blending purposeful play with evidence-based therapy, children get to learn, grow, and make progress in ways that feel fun and natural.

Because when kids are engaged and enjoying themselves, the results just make sense.
