Supporting Every Child’s Journey to Communicate, Play, and Grow 🌟
At More Than Speech, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive, to feel confident, capable, and connected in their daily lives. Our team of licensed therapists provides compassionate, play-based support through three key areas of therapy: Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Feeding Therapy.
Here’s a closer look at what each one helps with (and how they work together to support your child’s development):
🗣 Speech Therapy
Helping children find their voice and confidence. Our speech therapists help children communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively. We focus on everything from early language development to articulation, social skills, and fluency.
Speech therapy may help if your child:
Is struggling to express themselves or form sentences
Has difficulty being understood by others
Has a limited vocabulary or delayed speech
Needs support with social communication or stuttering
Every session is filled with play, movement, and encouragement because communication should feel fun and natural.
✋ Occupational Therapy
Building independence through everyday skills. Our occupational therapists (OTs) help children strengthen the fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills needed for everyday life. From holding a pencil to getting dressed, OT helps kids feel confident and capable in their routines.
OT may help if your child:
Struggles with coordination or fine motor tasks
Avoids certain textures, sounds, or movements
Has trouble with handwriting, focus, or transitions
Needs help with dressing, feeding, or self-regulation
OT sessions are play-based and tailored to your child’s unique needs, focusing on progress, not perfection.
🍽 Feeding Therapy
Encouraging healthy, stress-free eating habits. Our feeding therapists support children who have difficulty eating or exploring new foods. We use gentle, sensory-based strategies to help children feel more comfortable, confident, and curious during mealtimes.
Feeding therapy may help if your child:
Is a picky eater or avoids entire food groups
Coughs, gags, or struggles with swallowing
Has trouble transitioning to new textures or solids
Experiences anxiety or frustration at mealtime
We work with families to make mealtimes positive because food should bring connection, not stress.
Why Families Choose More Than Speech
Each child’s journey is unique, and that’s why our therapies are designed to complement one another. By addressing communication, coordination, and feeding together, we help your child grow in every area of daily life.
