Co-Founder/Speech-Language Pathologist
Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Lauren is a co-owner of More Than Speech. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is licensed to practice speech pathology by holding a state license in Florida. Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Psychology. She then went on to receive her Masters degree to become a speech-language pathologist from the University of Central Florida.
Lauren has worked as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including family-centered early intervention, private practices, and outpatient rehabilitation settings. During her time as a speech-language pathologist, she has received a wide range of specialty professional training in therapeutic approaches to best fit her client's needs as well as to train and support the clinicians at More Than Speech. She is a trained and certified PROMPT© and DIRFloortime® therapist, as well as specialty training in AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding and The Play Project. She has also completed the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 Clinical Training Workshop (ADOS-2) to further make diagnostic and educational decisions regarding children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Lauren is motivated and inspired to support and provide family-centered and relationship-based intervention to increase the child’s participation, independence, and engagement in activities that are relevant and meaningful to their life.
