Cassidy is a certified occupational therapy assistant at More Than Speech. She holds her certification to practice occupational therapy through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy. She is licensed to practice occupational therapy in the state of Florida. Cassidy graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development, before going on to receive her Associate of Occupational Therapy degree from Keiser University.
Cassidy has gained experience working in a variety of settings including the public school system, private outpatient clinic and private practice. She has experience working with and providing interventions to a variety of diagnoses including: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, sensory processing disorder, ADD/ADHD, a variety of learning disabilities, and more.


Throughout her undergraduate experience, she interned as a teacher's assistant at a Child Development Research Center. During this experience she implemented lesson plans targeting specific developmental milestones as well as conducted research on early intervention. She participated in volunteer opportunities at RISE, a school for special needs, The Boys and Girls Club, and Make- A- Wish Foundation. After her undergraduate degree, she became a homeschool teacher, while continuing her education at Keiser University. Through these experiences, Cassidy has been exposed to a variety of treatment styles and techniques, and understands how to create a supportive learning environment through utilizing a child’s intrinsic motivations to help them develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Cassidy is a certified feeding therapist with AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding and has also received speciality training in early intervention, The Play Project and total sensory integration.


Cassidy strives to make each session purposeful and client-centered, tailored to each child's specific needs. She is dedicated to building meaningful relationships and helping children reach their full potential!
