Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders

Anna is a Speech-Language Pathologist at More Than Speech. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and holds a license through the Department of Health to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Anna has worked with various ages and disorders, and found her passion working with children. She has gained experience working in a variety of settings including private pediatric clinics, daycares, schools, and adult outpatient therapy. She has had the opportunity to provide interventions to a wide range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Apraxia of Speech, Cerebral Palsy, ADD/ADHD, fluency disorders, auditory processing disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, articulation/phonological disorders, dysphagia, feeding difficulties and more.

Anna has received educational training in the foundations of PROMPT© techniques, Oral Placement Therapy (OPT), Natural Language Acquisition in Autism, basic American Sign Language, and completion of Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImP). Additionally, Anna is a feeding therapist with certification in AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding and Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention, as well as experience working with children with mild to complex etiologies related to feeding. She is dedicated to continuing her education through professional training in order to better serve the various needs of her clients and their families.

Throughout her undergraduate career, Anna worked as a Research Assistant at the UCF Aphasia House as well as gained hands-on experience implementing speech and language goals for elementary school-aged children. She also worked as a childcare assistant and as a public school substitute teacher where she gained educational training working with children of various age groups.

Anna’s goal is to help children reach their fullest potential by making treatment sessions engaging and individualized according to each child’s needs, abilities, and interests. She strives to make speech-language therapy a fun and positive experience to help children learn and grow using a play-based therapy approach.
