Sabrina has extensive experience as an occupational therapy professional. She obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University, her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Central Florida, and her Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy from Keiser University. Sabrina is currently licensed to practice occupational therapy by holding a state license in Florida. She holds her certification to practice occupational therapy through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Sabrina has an eclectic background with experiences working in a variety of settings including, pediatric therapy clinics, early intervention within natural environments, neurorehabilitation, long term care rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and internationally within communities, hospitals, orphanages, and villages.
Sabrina has experience with, but not limited to, the following diagnoses: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, sensory processing disorder, feeding difficulties, cerebral palsy, ADHD/ADD, muscular dystrophy, developmental delays, dyslexia, dyspraxia, a variety of learning disabilities, and more.
Sabrina specialty professional training in the following occupational therapy interventions: SOS feeding Approach, Early Intervention (EI), Handwriting Without Tears (HWT), Total Motion Release (TMR), Feeding Therapy, Reflex Integration, Sensory Integration (SI), Brain Gym, Pediatric Massage Therapy, and DIRFloortime® (Floortime).
From May through August 2019, Sabrina trained and volunteered in Jinja, Uganda at the non-profit organization Imprint Hope. She provided occupational therapy services to children with disabilities in the villages in Uganda. She also provided extensive education & training to families to promote carryover of techniques and strategies.
Sabrina is also a certified pediatric massage therapist (CPMT) through Liddle Kidz Foundation with a specialization in treating children with autism. She utilizes these techniques in conjunction with traditional OT services. In 2019, she was chosen as an international global ambassador to participate in the sustainable Liddle Kidz® International Therapeutic Exchange Program (iTEP). She joined the LK Foundation in the Philippines for 4 weeks volunteering in orphanages, hospitals, and villages providing therapeutic massage to under-served and vulnerable infants & children, as well as children with disabilities. Sabrina’s wide range of experience and backgrounds compliments her dedication to provide excellent care to each child!
